Pat Light a current sophomore at Monmouth University and former Baseball U Alumni is featured in the April 4th Issue of Baseball America.
The 6’6 right handed pitcher who led CBA to a state championship in baseball has his velocity up to 94mph early this spring season. Drafted by the Minnesota Twins out of high school Pat was highly recruited by many schools. His velocity in the summer going into his senior year was down in the mid 80’s but after a strong summer and some rest dominated the fall circuit while hitting 92mph and throwing his slider as hard as 83mph.
This past fall at Monmouth Universities scout day Pat hit 96mph.
If you attend a Monmouth game this spring you will see plenty of former Baseball U alumni at the game with 11 alumni on the Monmouth roster. In a game this past weekend when Pat was on the mound there were 7 Baseball U alumni in the starting line-up.
